Lovely Jubbly Valentines day
Valentine's Day is a great holiday. Last year Uncle Michelle went all out. There were heart garlands on the walls and heart balloons all over the place. He covered the lights in red wax paper to make them give a reddish glow. He got Aunt Kim a giant teddy bear and by giant I mean GIANT. One year my Mommy got me a stuffed animal that was a cat. She put a huge box of chocolates in the cats arms. I love Valentines' Day. <3 :-)

The meaning of Christmas.
The meaning of Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. With out Jesus and god we wouldn't be where we are now. Christmas is not about toys what most of us think it's all about the toys, but it is not. I like Christmas because it's a time to be with family and friends. Every Christmas I wake up at six o'clock in the morning. I make muffins for Mommom , and then open presents. I love Christmas! |
Why I Like Halloween |
Halloween is great. I like it because candy, corny jokes like what do you get when you come across a shark and a snowman? Frostbite! and why did Dracula become a vegetarian? Because stake ( steak) was bad for his heart! I also like parties, and dressing up. This year I'm dressing up as my first truly scary thing, a Grim reaper with red fade in fade out glasses. Instead of a scythe I am using a black and silver sword. My favorite candies to receive are butterscotch, ressees, Cheetos, and hershy chocolate bars.

Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for everything we have and what we are given.
In England , Pilgrims wanted a new life. The king had laws saying they must have the same religion but the pilgrims wanted there own free religion. the Pilgrims managed to get the Mayflower. they set of to find a new land were they could have there own religion. they found there way to America and called it home. Summer and fall passed and the harsh winter came. the Pilgrims didn't have enough food and some got sick. The truth was, they were dying .But Spring brought new hope. Indians came and taught the Pilgrims how to grow crops and how to fish. When Fall came the Indians helped harvest. As a thanks to the Indians, the pilgrims created a big dinner , the Indians were the guests of honor. And that was the first Thanksgiving.

Happy Labor Day
Labor Day was first celebrated in 1882 in America. I get this Monday off. I get to sleep in and I don't have to do my chores. I love celebrating Labor Day. On Labor Day We don't do anything special but there is no school and I get to play outside all day, unless it rains of course. In 1882, Matthew Magurie was the first to propose the holiday. Labor Day is celebrated the first Monday of September. Labor Day is celebrated because" the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being
of their country".

Memorial day, a great holiday
Memorial day honors soldiers who fought for our country.
They don't lay around drinking ice tea
They spend their time protecting you and me,
and that is something wonderful in which we can agree.
Memorial day was first celebrated on May 5, 1868.
The soldiers don't take time off to roller skate.
Instead they fight with no armor plate.
There goal is not to go through the golden gate.
But it is to defend you and me.
And that is something that's not hard to see.
So stand up and shout hurray.
Good ole Memorial day, a vary great holiday.

All the special mothers
Mother's Day, when you honor that very special person.
Mothers seem to have a way to touch peoples heart. Mother's day was first celebrated in 1908 by Anna Jarvis.
Anna Jarvis was from West Virginia. that's kind of cool.
But what I am trying to say,is give a hand to our mothers
For they care for us night and day
YAY MOMS
